Stellar Magic ~ Star of Prophecy
©2006 Michael C. Turner ~ Galactic Visions Space Art

From the shadowy, mist-filled, portal of a mysterious cavern on a world orbiting a multiple planetary system, an awe-inspiring view of a super cluster of new, birthing neophyte, nebulae encompasses the heavens.
One magnificent star outshines all others as its brilliant, penetrating, light radiates from its stellar dust womb within a virgin nebula. Nebular gases, energized by the stellar nursery of stars, create haloes which spiral thousands of light years across the cosmic stage of time and space. Such “Stellar Magic” might cast a spell on the intellects of mortal beings across galactic realms unknown or imagined. Tales of legendary proportions would assuredly inspire learned minds on many worlds across the vast arrays of stellar systems to follow their own Stars of Prophecy.

The Biblical prophecy, foretelling the birth of Christ, may well have
been one of many such “stellar-herald” legends across the Universe of innumerable galaxies. Earth’s home galaxy, The Milky Way, has given birth to billions of stars and, most assuredly, to numerous life-supporting worlds such as Earth. The Magi’s Star, the legendary Star of Bethlehem, may well have evoked its “Stellar Magic” not only within the minds and souls of Earth-based intellects, but in countless others, across the vastness of time and space throughout The Creator’s wondrously mysterious and diverse Universe . . .

Michael C. Turner ~ Christmas, Anno Domino, 2006

("Stellar Magic" is #16 in my Christmas in the Stars limited edition card series. [link] Each year I select one of my paintings to use on the cover of my "Christmas in the Stars" Christmas Card series which I began in 1991. I realize that everyone may not appreciate space art in this context however, I trust you shall still enjoy the paintings for what they depict scientifically if not spiritually . . . )
