An earth-like planet orbits a multiple star system near several birthing nebulae in a distant galactic realm. Use your imagination a bit and you shall see the celestial imagery of a hummingbird I embedded amongst the nebulae I featured in this painting that I dedicated to the loving memory of my beloved sister (who loved hummingbirds with all her soul). Based upon my sister's personal faith, and mine, I envision her now as a "Celestial Hummingbird," free to explore infinite Cosmic realms eternally . . .
*Please see [link] the related poem/picture entitled "Celestial Hummingbird Song."
(I have filled this painting with much symbolic imagery, other than the hummingbird nebula, which I shall leave for the viewer to discover . . .) If you have any thoughts you would like to share regarding the imagery or the painting in general, please feel free to leave a message . . .
May All Your Visions Be Galactic Visions ~ Michael C. Turner
Thank you for your comments. Your own gallery is superb! Yes, the egg . . . creation, rebirth symbolism is one of the more important ones I included. You may have also noticed the three comets streaking toward the humminbird nebula . . . comets have historically been harbingers of either great joy or sorrow. In this case it is bittersweet with both represented although joy is the ultimate victor as eternal life defeats death. The eye of the "hunmmingbird" is actually a "white dispersion which, if you check out another painting in my gallery "Lord Of Light," you will understand the symbolism here a bit better. In fact, if you go thorugh my DA gallery, reading the descriptors, you shall find many other clues I embedded in symbolism in "Celestial Hummingbird." I've likley shared more than you cared to know, my apologies if so . . .
Very cool, reminds me of the books I had as a kid which would have traditionally painted interpretations of fictional parts of the universe that we can't get photo's of (just yet) I think I see more symbolism in there, the two egg-shaped moons could relate to the hummingbird, and eggs can be seen a a symbol of new life and fertility
Thank you for your comment and for including "Celestial Hummingbird" in your favourites.
Best regard,
